Hello, and thank you for checking out my profile. My name is Rob and I'm a semi retired United States Postal Service Letter Carrier, Entrepreneur and writer.
I have one year of experience as an Apartment Manager though this was many years ago I had learned a lot about dealing with people and how to maintain a 22 unit building including the pool and laundry facilities.
Being a home owner for over 24 years I am well acquainted with the typical routines in lawn and garden care as well as any other minor maintenance that might be required dury my stay. I am able to handle most minor repairs and maintenance without involving outside help, but am also able to discern when an expert is required to protect the property from any damages. (ie., plumbing problems, electrical issues etc.)
My career at the USPS was a great experience in being a good Ambassador for the Post Office. It was a very high profile position and provided daily opportunities for customer engagement as well as with their pets of various kinds. I have received numerous awards for my outstanding customer service over my 35 year tenure at the Post Office.
I would often find an animal that I knew who had escaped and returned them back to their homes often without the home owner even knowing. Repeat offenders were discussed with the owners and they were always grateful for my diligence in taking care of their furry friends.
Although I do not have direct professional experience in homesitting, I have many references I can provide upon request. I am active in my community and am a certified CERT volunteer. (Community Emergency Response Team)
I also have a CCW (Concealed Carry Weapons) permit which requires the highest level of scrutiny in background checks. This permit will be provided upon request. I will, of course, be abiding by all laws within your country and your jurisdiction regarding the possesion and use of firearms.
My primary reasons to be offering my services as a housesitter are that I am currently writing my life story as well as my desire to visit many different places whilst also providing a valuable service to homeowners wherever I can. This mutually benficial arrangement will enable us all to benefit from each other's willingness to trust and respect each other with the responsibilities of taking good care of one another's needs during your time away and my time visiting your City.
It is my hope that we will be able to assist each other and have a satisfactory outcome for everyone. Hopefully we can build a friendship that will last many years, and maybe even swap homes at some time in the future.
